Peanut Night

Alan Surprenant

Peanut night! With spaghetti afterwards. Crunch crunch crunch. When the Pease’s owned the Lake House, Wednesday night was Peanut Night. All peanut shells had to go on the floor, not the bar top. Thus “crunch crunch crunch” when anybody walked in. Spaghetti and meatballs followed. An excellent protein group!

Additional note from Missy Morann Rustemeyer: A lot of places with wood floors did this because the oil in the peanut shells would shine and oil the wood floors. Keeping them in good condition.
